She was a force in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking, shopping, spending time with friends and family, and being at the beach. Bringing people together was incredibly important to Joan, and she effortlessly hosted many gatherings over the years. Her biggest fear was not having enough food, so even if you paid her an unannounced visit, a beautifully made cheeseboard would always find its way to the table.
Joan had an incredibly kind and welcoming spirit that radiated to others. Those who spent time with her always walked away feeling inexplicably happy and inspired. Her most recent job was working part-time at Sephora where she took great pride in making others feel confident and beautiful. However, her most important job was being a full-time mom to her three boys. She was always fully engaged in their lives by volunteering in their classrooms, taking them to after school activities, and being a second mom to all of their friends.
