Angelo B Valente

Angelo B. Valente of Walpole passed peacefully on September 26, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82. He was born in the small town of Cervinara Italy in the province of Avellino, Campania Italy. Angelo graduated from Tufts University School of Mechanical Dentistry, and went on to found AV Porcelain Dental Studio in Boston. Above all professional success, he would say that his beautiful family was his greatest achievement. He was married to his beloved wife Janice for 51 years. He enjoyed spending time at their summer home in Falmouth on Cape Cod and going to the beach with his family. Angelo was an avid gardener, enjoyed golf, traveling, and spending time with friends.  For over 25 years he was a member of the Italian Lodge in Norwood.  He was a devoted father to Angela D’Andrea and her husband Mark of New Jersey and Amy Sanford and her husband Erik of Plainville. Most of all, Angelo was so proud of and adored spending time with his grandson Craig James Herson of Plainville, who affectionately referred to his grandfather as Pa. He was cherished brother of the late Antoinetta, Pasquale, Giovanni, Carmella, and Basilio and his surviving wife, Sarah of Vermont. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Funeral from the Alexander F. Thomas and Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common St., Walpole. Tuesday morning at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, Walpole, at 10am. Visiting hours Monday evening 4-8pm at the funeral home.
