Marshall, Kenneth R.
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Kenneth R. Marshall on March 17, 2018 at the age of 63. Ken is the beloved brother of Robert Marshall and Barbara Marshall Rice and resident of Dedham for over 50 years. He is also survived by beloved sister-in -law Karen Marshall and brother-in- law David Rice, as well as nephews and nieces; cousins, and their children. Ken was a creative hobbyist, a home grown artist with a deep passion for trains, model building, rocket launching, music of the 60’s and 70’s and more. Ken carried these passions with him from his youth through his late adulthood and leaves as a legacy for the young and old in our family his enthusiasm for trades disappearing from our fast-paced lives. At the same time, Ken also seized on new technologies. As a boy, he relished showing reel-to-reel horror and sci fi movies to other neighborhood children, and he was one of the first to own a video game (pong) and new TV technology (VHS recorder). Family and food were core to his quality of life. We will gather on Saturday, April 7 to celebrate Ken’s life. Visiting hours at Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common Street, Walpole, MA are from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a Catholic mass at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows in Sharon, MA. All are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Kenneth Marshall. For directions and guestbook, please
