Dorothy Taylor Obituary

TAYLOR, Dorothy “Dottie” Rita (Welch) was born on March 15, 1939.  She died peacefully surrounded by her family on March 13, 2021 after a long illness.

Beloved wife of the late Charles Lawrence “Larry” Taylor of 37 years.  Daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Dare) Welch.  Oldest of 6 children; survived only by William.  Dedicated Mother to 6: Joseph, William (deceased), Helen-Marie, Kathy, Michael, and Donny.  Loving confidant, mentor, and “Gram” to 10 grandchildren: Shawn, Jennifer-anne, Tiffany, Bob, Seth, James, Justin, Diane, Kaitlyn and Samantha. Great Grandmother to 12.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and Godchildren.

She was raised in Hyde Park and Readville, where she also met and married her husband.  Her passion was her family and she was always there for them.  She spent much of her time as family chauffeur making sure everyone got where they needed to go.  Sundays were always family day including a trip to the beach, family visits (where cousins grew up together) and/or big Sunday dinners.  She loved spending time with her adult children and families.  She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren; they cherished a bond sharing secrets and stories.  She loved being a Great Grandmother.  She was a devout Catholic and prayer warrior.  When not taking care of someone, she loved to read the bible and say her rosary.

She leaves a legacy of Faith, Love, Encouragement and Peace.

Dottie will be greatly missed by all.
