James M. Casey

James Michael Casey, age 59, of Wrentham, MA, formerly of Roslindale, passed away peacefully after a brief but devastating illness. As he passed, Jim was surrounded by his beloved, devoted wife, Janet (Griffin), and his loyal, loving daughters, Rachel and Nora. 

He was the son of the late Joan and William Casey.  Jim is survived by many brothers, sisters and extended family members.  His siblings are Billy and his wife Laura; Joan Yetman and her husband, Bill; Cathy Ryan and her husband Mark; Susan Flinn and her husband, Chris; Nancy Gagnon and her husband Eddie; Timothy and his wife Katie and Patricia Lewis and her husband, Hank. His in-laws include, Mark Griffin, Paula Dwan and her husband, Dan; Peter and his wife Deirdre. He was the beloved Uncle Jimmy of many nieces and nephews.  Jim is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Jim was always a gentleman with a big, kind heart and he was deeply loved by all who knew him. He was known as Jim, Jimmy, Jimbo and Case to his countless cherished, lifelong friends.  He loved his girls immensely and took great pride in being their dad.  Jim had a passion for golf but more importantly he loved the comradery of a round with family and friends.  He enjoyed many sports of all levels and loved rooting for his nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a future date.

Visiting hours will be held at Alexander Thomas Funeral home in Walpole on Tuesday, April 27 from 4 to 8 pm with his funeral on Wednesday, April 28 at 11:30 am at Holy Name Parish Church, West Roxbury.
