Leo A. McGee, age 62, from Millis, MA.
It is with great sadness that the family of Leo McGee announces his passing after a prolonged illness on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
A loving son, brother, nephew, father, grandfather, uncle, coach and mentor. Predeceased by his parents George Leo McGee and Katherine Ann (Kerr) McGee. Brother of Kathleen Hallisey, Jane McGee, Deborah Dolan, Margaret and her husband Tom Milligan, and Michelle and her husband Chris Johnston. Survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Leo enjoyed spending time with his extended family, friends and his beloved dog, Buddy. He was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan. Leo coached hockey and dedicated his time to teaching kids how to skate and play hockey. He spent much of his coaching time in Franklin and Worcester. He was a Friend of Bill and helped many people with their journey.
Funeral from the Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common Street, Walpole, MA Monday morning at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Millis at 10:30AM. Visiting hours at the Funeral Home Sunday evening from 4-7PM. Interment private at family's request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Jimmy Fund/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Leo McGee to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute via www.Jimmyfund.org/gift
